Just a reminder, you're not out of the job once #Gutenberg lands if you don't know React/JSX, shortcodes still work, meta boxes still work, blocks can be rendered with vanilla JS and PHP, layout plugins work fine if you keep them up to date #WordPress

It strikes me that it may not be widely understood that building on Gutenberg also means understanding the REST API; what data is available, how to create objects etc. Without this it’s difficult to do much custom block development.
