Was thinking about a blog post regarding projects and software that became too successful to change radically – and of course I would've mentioned @wordpress. But today I looked into #Gutenberg. Kudos, that's reinvention. Not of the dreaded + mutated core of course, but still 👍

Inspired by @photomatt State of the Word at @WordCampUS, WordCamp Miami is having a #Gutenberg workshop on March 16th. Great speakers and cool things to share: https://t.co/K2LQSrIfaa pic.twitter.com/cMr9mI3Nw1

Still trying to figure out why #WordPress is so set on forcing Gutenberg in to core. Seems like a great plugin for those who want it, but possible huge ramifications to loads of sites if/when forced in to core. Cool concept, not sold on it's integration in to core. #gutenberg

This is the first time the HTML comment structure in #Gutenberg made sense to me. It's not ideal, but it does address the separate needs of content creation and content consumption. Add the ability to lift reusable data from the blob, and I at least understand the rationale now. https://t.co/4A3TmRsBXQ

I feel like #Gutenberg in general is still unclear. I'm excited about what it could be but it feels like were forcing it before we even know how to use it and more importantly how to support it. Meanwhile we're still waiting for a PHP version bump.
